Work hard and toughen up can mean hide your emotions, and work hard and toughen up may also mean seek help, work through the process, and grow. Life is hard for young men. We definitely need to find a multitude of ways to help, but isn’t the struggle part of doing better?

Actually, women have been schooled in empathy and insight as a survival skill. Empathy doesn’t equal enabling. I feel for the struggle of young men, and the world is changing. It doesn’t ever mean that you don’t have to struggle.
