Don't mind me. I'll just be over here, screaming into the void...

Oh, I love smut. But I'm not always in the mood for it. I need to know what I'm getting into, you know? Sometimes I just want a pornographic short story. Or a good, spicy novel. Or a teenage first kiss. I just want to know which is which before I start.

No shit?

Oh. Nope. Tags don't seem to include the information I'm after. Useful, but still have to dig for context clues.

Yeah, but so much digging! I just want to type a title into a search bar and see a result that includes, bigger than shit, "This book is practically plotless, verbal pornography, 20k words," or, "SMUT, 275k words," or, "NOT SMUT, 120k words." You know?

Like, smutornot dot whatever.

No wait. That's the white one. It would look terrible. Could save $25 going with the gold certified 1300w instead of the platinum 1000w.

I have a week to decide. They'll both go in the cart for now.

Newegg has a combo deal for an Intel ultra 7 265k and a gigabyte 8790 aourus for $511. Comes with a free 1Tb m.2. Shipping to Anchorage was $27.

I'm definitely in the budget and reuse as much as possible camp. Was running a 960 until a couple weeks ago. Lol

My PC. Windows drive died a couple weeks ago. Replaced and reinstalled (updated to 11), only to discover my first gen Ryzen is no longer supported. Which explains the BSODs I was dealing with before the fix. And after.

It's been ~7 years. It's time. Was hoping to eke out another year, but eh.

So does anyone know if Americans can sell their cars in Canada? Or will I have to rent something from an international company (that probably doesn't operate here) for the 40 hour drive from Alaska to Vancouver?

I considered smothering him in his sleep, but decided doing the whole "life" thing on my own is much less appealing than making myself some hot tea instead.

Oh wow. That snoot looks a lot like our girl when we met her.

Exactly. If it had been a case of just not liking it, I would have published a review saying it wasn't for me, but <insert reasons others might like it and things done well>. If I'd bought a copy, I'd've eviscerated it. But a requested review from an author? Nah. Private critique.

I used to review indie books (different handle). I was once sent a novella by the author. I forced myself to finish it. It was among the worst things I've read. I told him so. I opted not to publish a review because it would be impossible to write anything remotely kind. It was that bad.

Obviously, I turn that shit off in restaurants, libraries, hospitals, movie theaters, etc.
