Oh I 100% agree. Ds chasing the so called swing voter while abandoning the base has been shown time and time again to be folly, so I hope they’ve mostly learned from recent history.

I don’t think the Democratic Party has made any decisions yet on that for 2028. It’s a Big Tent and we’ll see what happens in the primary campaign, which I really hope doesn’t start in earnest for a couple more years.

By definition, every Democrat that wins a primary is the candidate Democratic voters want. Nobody is picking Democrats based on who they think Republicans would vote for.
