Wild weekend. Spent Friday night in San Francisco with the wife & kid watching American Steel. Drove home Saturday only to go down to San Diego on Sunday to see Swing Kids play. Lots of miles were put on. Totally worth it.

When I was at Gilman in October I snapped this picture of Sweet Children graffiti. I found it strange that this was some of the only prominent graffiti. Like, why is it there & when was it put there. Obviously it’s not from “back in the day”, was it put up from the Green Day CBS news piece?

The majority of my day off yesterday was spent watching compilation videos of Kermit The Frog showing people his “dick” on the internet. It’s a rabbit hole that I didn’t intend to jump into, yet here we are.

Today I had a “Dirty” Baja Blast. I’ve never had a Baja Blast prior to this. “Dirty” usually implies booze, but at Taco Bell it means they put vanilla something in it. Soft serve? I don’t know, but that shit was tasty. Will I ever get another one? Doubtful.

For months I’ve been trying to find info about a band called Camera Obscura that I saw at Koo’s back in like ‘99/‘00, but the only thing that comes up is the Scottish indie band. I thought I was losing my mind until I found their record on eBay. So now I have a clue!

Found this picture of Los Crudos in my phone. I didn’t take it. Not sure why I saved it. I saw Crudos once in like ‘97, maybe ‘98. My only real memory of the show was after the show when I got pepper sprayed for some Jack In The Box tacos. The 90’s were wild y’all.

I often think about what’s going to happen to my kid when I die….and what’s going to happen to my records. I romanticize the kid inheriting the hoard and continuing to amass a library that congress would be envious of, but the truth is he’ll probably hock them all for rent money.
