This is becoming a longer rant than it needs to but please look into KOSA and listen to SWers when we tell you it’ll change everything for the worse. We’re always handed the short stick on the internet and we know the warning signs and dangers of censorship please call your reps (edit for typo)

The way to guarantee kid safety on the internet is for parents to actually monitor what their kids are accessing online. Stop using AI to safeguard children’s apps since we know there’s so many weirdos on YTkids. If you’re unable to monitor then teach kids about online safety and consequences

KOSA in theory is great who doesnt want kids to be safe on the internet? However it is combined with 18 bills that will heavily censor what will be allowed to be posted and discussed. It’ll increase surveillance and be used to restrict access to safe resources especially to marginalized communities
