Never forget that impeachment is a political process, not a judicial process.

Thanks a lot, founding fathers. 😕

Do lobbyists and CEOs count?

TBF it’s easier to throw dead Palestinian civilians under the bus than defend accusations of antisemitism.

If not paying your student loan payments is the only way you’re opposing fascism, that’s probably not the reason you’re doing it.

I’m not one of those fans who thinks it’s Super Bowl or bust. Only 1 of 32 teams can win a SB, and the odds are astronomical. I’m just happy my home town still has an NFL team that has a winning record against 3 of 4 of our division rivals.

I learned how to win and lose gracefully in youth sports.

The Texans’ defense bailed out their offense, and the Bills’ offense failed to bail out their defense, as it often does lately.

The Bills can’t build a defense fast enough. It takes time for draft picks to mature.

The fact that he’s covering his hand in both photos is hilarious.

No, impeachment is a political process, given to the legislature to execute, the most political of the 3 branches. You’re speaking as if impeachment were a judicial process, as it SHOULD be, not as it is. It is a PARTISAN process.

The average American doesn't even fully understand the 1st Amendment. Few Americans have any idea what the 3rd Amendment is about.

Yet you seem to expect a grunt soldier to have the legal acumen of a superior court judge.

Was Osama Bin Laden posing a clear and immediate threat when U.S. Navy SEALS took him out?

You haven't thought this through. Soldiers are often ordered to kill people aren't posing a clear and immediate threat. The discretion to kill comes from above, either immediately or in mission parameters.
November 20, 2025 at 11:10 PM
Thank you for that, but I don't think it's fair or realistic to expect most soldiers to know what is legal and what isn't, particularly when legality is a subjective matter determined by a judge.

Even expert advice from a practicing attorney is a legal *opinion,* so who can a soldier ask?

We still have free speech *if you're a U.S. citizen.* If you're a visa or Green Card holder, voicing support for Palestinian civilians can get your visa revoked.

I'd like to think you have more to contribute to this discussion than rhetoric. Do you? How did Trump manage to subvert the free will of millions of voters?
November 20, 2025 at 8:59 PM
Getting Kimmel temporarily cancelled boosted his ratings though, so Trump has helped make him more popular than he was.
November 20, 2025 at 7:54 PM
I can accept that they'd keep him from running for a 2nd term after the failed insurrection of January 6, 2021 and his repeated illegal attempts to change the vote counts, but not having accomplished convictions for any of those crimes, I don't think they'd subvert the will of the voters.
November 20, 2025 at 7:51 PM
What were they supposed to do, not cover him? Back then they thought covering his deplorable behavior would hurt him. It surprised all of us when it did the opposite.
November 20, 2025 at 7:48 PM
Would they? They left a lot of control in the hands of the voters, and Trump legitimately won two elections.

I agree they'd be disgusted with the American electorate (perhaps as much as I am), but I doubt they'd overturn the results of a legitimate election because they didn't like the outcome.
November 20, 2025 at 7:46 PM
Did the media help elect a felon? I'm not convinced they're to blame. They can either cover Trump in all his awfulness for all to see, or they can stop platforming his hateful rhetoric. It's a devil's bargain, and either way you cut it, freedom of the press gives them the freedom to make mistakes.

She was right about everything, the racists, Supreme Court nominees, the overturning of Roe v. Wade....

Having said that, we're way beyond caring about the double standard, because with Trump, cruelty is the point. The lesson of the Access Hollywood tape is that normal rules no longer apply.

Hillary didn't just go after racists for being racists. She called 1/3 of the electorate "deplorable" and badmouthed a woman who accused her husband of sexual assault.

I held my nose and voted for Hillary, but I shouldn't have had to.

Hillary is best forgotten. She was a bad politician.
