Going to our last farmers market at Dixboro tomorrow afternoon. It's good to touch dahlias after this crazy news week. The #GOP group chat, nuts! Dahlias are grounding, reminding me that beauty and nature go on. #DahliaSeason #RevelnGardens

Here's a nice scorpion flower, aka Lacy Phacelia- Phacelia tenacetifolia. It's great for pollinators AND good for the soil. It grows well when direct seeded. We're using it to enrich soil in our market gardens.

Got fungus gnats? I beat them this year. No more yucky sticky traps, get them at the source. Some of my many succulents I bring indoors in the winter. The collage is 2 years ago. They've doubled in size now, without fungus gnat pests!

Ranunculus! Soon I will be planting them to root up in the garage. Last year was a success. What will this year bring?

If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive. ~ Eleonora Duse

-7 º F tonight Michiganders! Check the spaces keeping those dahlia tubers safe from freezing. As for Winter Sowing, all is well. Those freeze thaw cycles are what native plant seeds need 👍 to stratify & germinate in spring.

Gardening is a hobby sport where you start with a black belt and graduate to green. Green thumbs are learned. 🌱☘️🌿
