This needs to be said, well done Church leaders.
Leaders of a Catholic church in Massachusetts kept a Nativity display with an anti-ICE message in place on Monday, defying an order from the Catholic Archdiocese of Boston to remove it. The display shows Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus missing, replaced by a sign reading “ICE WAS HERE.” trib.al/adPW46y

I totally agree and that's why I resigned my membership of the Labour Party last night #labourparty
Labour MP Brian Leishman: "The Government has surrendered to... the vile rhetoric of Reform. Does the Home Secretary not see that removing the legal obligation to support asylum seekers who will be otherwise destitute, is as far away from Labour Party principles and values as we can get?"

I have done something I never thought I would do. I have just cancelled my membership of the Labour Party. I think I joined first in the late sixties. I cannot support a political party with an asylum policy such as the one announced by the Home Secretary this evening. It is unjust and inhumane.

Gambling is not an innocent pass time. It can create large debts and subsequent poverty. Also, I doubt that there are many(if any) end of pier slot machines that take less than a pound a go.
You may have missed this gem yesterday. From which we learn that:

1. Betting shops are really good for the mental health of isolated people.
2. Most drug-takers are not a problem.
3. Kids put tuppence in slot machines in the hope of getting rich.
4. Farage probably has a gambling industry donor.

This makes my heart sing!
A marvellous moment of light on a bend in the lane, in Shropshire, in November.

What a legacy this man will have, it will take a very long time for humankind to recover from the abusive selfishness of excessive personal wealth

I have just deactivated my X account. I am sad that Twitter became such a toxic place, i don't need it in my life anymore. It used to be fun tweeting.

A federal judge just ruled that Donald Trump is trying "to deny Americans their birthright." Trump is a serial violator of the Constitution. But Congress CAN STOP HIM & save the republic. Call your elected officials early and often. Red states, blue states, it doesn't matter.
Pressure bursts pipes.

I am delighted with the appointment of Dame Sarah Mulally as Archbishop of Canterbury. God bless her as she takes up this enormous role.
My granddaughter, has spent all her life in a diocese with a female bishop. She was very surprised recently when she discovered that men can be bishops too!

The attack in Manchester is horrific and indefensible, it tragically illustrates that the preaching of division and hate is encouraging us to blame our neighbours for the world's problems instead of coming together to reconcile and find common ground in a fractured world. #Manchester #HopeNotHate

Here I am in 2020 in the flimsiest, most pitful PPE - like so many other NHS staff, some of whom died from the Covid they caught in their hospitals.

Tory peer Michelle Mone - who today lost her legal case & must repay the govt £122m - dares to claim she’s been ‘scapegoated’.

What, Michelle? 🧵

For receiving £122 million of govt funds for unusable PPE – at least £65 million of which went straight into your venal husband’s offshore accounts in the Isle of Man?

For being one of a small minority of corrupt grifters who saw a global pandemic as nothing more than a chance to get rich quick?
