I’ve had to shift my schedule around a bit this week, so I decided to plan ahead for some me time this afternoon. Baking bread is one of the ways I keep myself grounded right now, soooo yeah, I need to make a lot of dough. 😂😭 For reference, this is probably about 10 loaves worth of starter.

Oh good. I’m glad to see we’ve regressed to the era when it’s okay for a “leader” to post dog whistles such as “eradicate the pink triangles.” If you voted for him, you voted for this. He told you exactly what he wanted to do, and for some reason you thought he was “joking.” I have no words for you.

My boy did not want to come downstairs as his moms were trying to leave this morning. His stubborn butt refuses to come when called, but reach out and ring the doorbell and he comes running. 😂 So much FOMO.

I feel as though I’m watching in horror (alongside half of this country) as a devastating economic tsunami is approaching. The other half is cheering the tsunami onward believing it will selectively spare them. Practically, there’s nowhere for anyone to go, and I just don’t have sufficient words.

When the news overwhelms me, I try not to stay there. While my brain spins with how I can respond faithfully, it helps me to ground myself in doing something. For me, baking bread is love that proves itself subversive in an economy of intentional harm. What is your subversive love language, friends?
