Amateur artist.
Not sure how often I'll post. Still trying to improve.
Really looking at this made me realize I do not know enough about the north east to have any kind of informed opinion on them. With the exception of New York for obvious reasons...

I do know that most of my map is also red, though.

Thinking on this more, this just affirms that I need to trust my vibes more. Every time the vibes feel off and I feel suspicious it always turns out I was right to feel that way.

The AI stuff is always just off. There's just something that feels off even if the errors aren't immediately noticable.

I was wondering about that for a while. That was my assumption but I can't read Kanji and any translation I tried made it unclear if it was a "do not use this for AI training" or a "this is the AI software that made this" stamp.

I know a lot of Chinese AI slop has watermarks like that.

I'm glad someone else has confirmed this. I've felt suspicious about their stuff for a while, but I saw a lot of artists I liked following them so I figured one or more of them would have noticed if their stuff was AI generated. So if the good artists I follow were following them, they must be clear

Far too generous. You're a saint

Crunchyroll sucks for a lot of reasons, but it is significantly cheaper than any other service and with no ads. I'd much rather just watch everything there instead of most things there, 2-3 things on Netflix, 2 things on Hulu with ads, 3 things on prime with ads. It's a hassle

I'm of mixed opinions.

On one hand, I like that anime is more widely available. On the other hand....I hate needing access to multiple expensive streaming services

If all anime was widely available on all of the platforms, I'd be singing from the rooftops. As it stands it's expensive and annoying

I don't think there's a spectrum of bad. The use of AI taints the entire project. I can't trust that it wasn't used anywhere else. Whether they claimed to have only used it once as a placeholder or made the entire thing from AI generation, it's the same in my eyes. Tainted AI trash.
December 18, 2025 at 5:21 PM
Honestly once I know they used AI as "placeholders" I can't trust that those placeholders were replaced with something not AI. They've already demonstrated a willingness to use the demon tech. Why assume they replaced it with real art instead of a less obvious AI generated image?

God dammit...how do I stop my Firefox from updating? Would really rather not switch browsers but absolutely will if need be.

But they will always rave nomstop about whatever shonen is currently airing.
Like sure, like what you like, not judging them. I'm just begging them to broaden their horizons and experience something with more writing depth than "MC is the strongest that ever was, look at how cool he is"

I've been digging the stuff made for adult audiences more and am always sad that it gets so little attention when it's usually so good. I always have a hard time getting my friends, who are around 30, to read or watch anything Seinen.

The amount of times spellcheck or autocorrect have changed completely correctly spelled words out for something that is nonsensical or not grammatically correct...
I'm genuinely on the verge of turning it off. I really think it may be less time to correct my own mistakes than to fix the machine's

15, though some of these I didn't use because they were the only thing available, I just had access because my dad liked going to antique stores a lot when I was a teenager.
So maybe only 13 if we don't count rotary phone and typewriter.

At this point I think not learning social media has been a boon to my psyche.

Nothing is impossible but given what I've learned about what it would actually take to properly map out the terrible road network in America, I don't see it being something that'll happen in my lifetime
Nor do I really think the resources should be wasted on it when we could be building rail instead

I was so excited for the concept of self driving cars until we got closer to them actually being a thing and learning how non-viable they actually are.

Hate driving, wish I didn't have to. But now I wish for a good public transportation network instead of self driving cars.
