Both the colorway and my project were inspired by the portrait by Eugène Delacroix of a lovely, pensive Black woman in sumptuous clothes. I was lucky enough to see this painting in person on an anniversary trip to Paris, pre-Covid.

My Wimbledon WIP 🍓 for this year is the Green Lane cowl by Kaffe Fasset from Rowan no. 76. I started it earlier in the year and got it back out to knit while watching tennis. All the colors are in now, and I love how it's turning out! 🧶 #ShowMeYourKnits

Using @thirdvaultyarns.com "you'll always be more than halfway done" mindset, I've managed to avoid second-mitt syndrome. Behold! Four inches of cuff on mitt no. 2. It's been keeping me busy (and away from scrolling) while work is slow.
