To hear the things that made the next generation of Presbyterians clap and cheer during the worship message last night made me proud of what we can become. It is up to us who currently have influence to hear them and do the work with them TODAY…or else they will leave and do it themselves.

I pray the members of the conclave pay attention to the reaction non-Catholics are having to the death of Pope Francis. Picking a courageous humble voice has an impact far beyond those who identify as Catholic or Christian.

I wish there was a feature on social media platforms where I can say "wherever your algorithm did with my video today is the wrong direction." Cuz whatever Instagram thought was a clever place to send my videos today did not work

Church seekers "all are welcome" is no longer an indication of what happens inside those walls. Look for an inclusion statement, look for minorities in leadership, or simply call and ask the question "would you marry a queer couple in your sanctuary"

The one thing that didn’t sink in for me when I learned about the rise of Nazism is that people still go to work, buy groceries, celebrate birthdays…is the fact that life keeps going in the midst of national horrors comforting or unsettling?
