3) Princeton, NJ. An even posher town with a great walkable downtown if you wanted expensive ice cream, cheap beer, and a handful of other things (Burger King!). Kind of deliberately indifferent to the adjacent student population. Rental housing was scarce and mostly off limits to undergrads.

2) Andover, MA. Went to high school there and generally was oblivious to its offerings beyond the few things I walked to downtown - Fleet Bank, a very greasy pizza place, the CVS. Very nice town, posh in some ways, quaint in others.

1) Concord, NH. My home city, born in the hospital there and stayed until I went away to school. It’s a pretty mid-sized New England city with a much nicer walkable downtown these days thanks to some far-sighted citizens and planners. Access to the White Mountains is a major perk.
