"Why be part of the solution when you can be the whole entire problem."
There's a pretty good few informed guesses that say about then.

The reason I think it's around the next Christmas break is I think it'll take that long to really feel the pain from the budget, & get good optics on construction. It's an issue of inertia.

Also closer to his 25 years in office.

Political preferences aside, she's competent, principled, & effective. And yeah also compassionate. I have no issues working with her. I've only heard good things about her.

Archer topped the polls in Bass with 13,108 FPVs on a quota of 8,432 votes - next highest was Finlay with 8,797 FPVs. That's pretty popular.

She's well regarded outside of Bass as putting the voter first.

It's actually not a deal breaker for the Libs. They allow conscience votes for their members.

Archer is actually a very competent member, widely liked, and not afraid to brawl with the party when it comes to choosing between her voters and the party. She's also got the edge on Peirce in that she's not anything like Rocky visually. A new Liberal party for a new generation.

Not thinking hard enough my friend!
It'll be Archer with Abetz as deputy.
Archer, Peirce, and the media has-beens are very solid moderate core.

Rockliff, Archer, Peirce, Abetz are all that's currently propping the PLP up at the moment. 3 of them are mods.

He was only supposed to 10 years 😅 he's blown past double that haha.

I think she might have put the hard word on the poor bugger 🤣.

It's just an educated assessment. I may not even be in the ballpark but people in the game are talking, so something's up.

Yeah, wife wants him home. 2027 is 25 years in the HoA, before Easter is the anniversary of that. Stadium has broken ground & pain from job cuts & tax increases won't have hit the voters hard yet so can leave on a high having looked to have left everything in capable hands w/o the backlash.

This is gold! x

Exactly. It's not popular in the area for a number of reasons. The big ones outlined in their submission. We're better off in Lyons.

Firstly. The obligatory f**K Clark and everything about it.

Second. The libs position is strategic and smart. It removes the Labor vote from one of the more competent Labor members, but would do neither the libs nor Labor any good in Clark.

Brighton LGA is my home turf.

Your point 2 is the best as it helps remove a large landmass from Lyons whilst improving access to representation in the UDV.

I challenge the statement in option 3 that Brighton LGA has a lot in common with Glenorchy, at a social level we don't. We have more in common with our rural neighbours.

I've been arguing against Clark annexing Brighton from Lyons - mostly because I loathe Clark & most of its reps.

We've heard through the grapevine rumours that a good portion of N/W Lyons is going, & Midway Point.

AEC is very iffy about crossing natural boundaries like rivers unless necessary.
