And yes, Scots and Scottish Gaelic are 2 different languages! Scots is a Germanic language that emerged around the same time as modern English did, while Scottish Gaelic is a Celtic language. So very different, but both uniquely Scottish, and are also both recently official languages in Scotland.

Fun fact because it’s almost new years but Auld Lang Syne was written in the Scots language by Scottish poet Robert Burns so whenever you sing it you are actually sing its OG lyrics congrats you are singing in Scots!

For some reason all I want to do today is drink wine and finally watch The Lord of the Rings trilogy in its entirety and I guess there’s nothing really stopping me from doing that except the part of my brain that’s like “be productive!”

By the time the new year hits I’ll probably be antsy to get out of the flat but knowing everything I want to do is probably crowded with people off of work is a nice excuse to be relaxing at home 🙏

Gotta say after running around Edinburgh for a week it’s been lovely to just be chillin’ over the holidays. Been getting back to the gym and doing some light music work and stuff but my brain and body definitely needed a break lol

The rest of the time before the next term starts will be devoted to my own music, I want to release an album over the summer and it’s time to get grinding so I’m in a good place before Uni starts back up. But first, Netflix and chill with the dog and mountains of laundry
