Fantastic photos Nick! I was staying in Portpatrick and it was very nice. Visited interesting places including the most southern lighthouse in Scotland (where you can receive Irish radio signals!) and an optical illusion hill where it looks like your car is rolling uphill instead of down.

A few weeks ago, I spotted this lovely Geely Emgrand 7 in Dundee, Scotland. I first saw it in a carspotting corner of the internet, and knowing the area, decided to go for a look. This example is on Ukrainian plates (which I have blurred for the owners' privacy. #weirdcarbs #carspotting #cars

I saw one in Dunkirk in 2023, plus several in Spain back in June, including two of which parked beside each other. I've attached photos of these.

I was informed by the rental staff that the SWM G01 also has its quirks. For example, the gauge cluster display inside the car apparently only show a mixture of Italian and Chinese text with no other options.
From what I've read, SWM were originally a motorcycle manufacturer and the name was sold.

The interior has all sorts of features. Electric driver seat adjustment, sunroof, digital gauge cluster, touch screen radio and keyless entry. Some of these functions are bizarre however - I was only able to close the sunroof by locking the doors and there's no Android Auto - instead, a weird app.

I saw this Aixam last year, in Portimão in Portugal. Is it me, or does it look slightly like someone described a Renault Twingo to someone over a phone call, and asked them to make one based only on that description?

Was one of my main points when we introduced our 2018 Renault Clio to the family. Despite being quite a new car it has a basic radio with physical buttons. It's brilliant. I love it.
