I am intrigued by how the CD cases are shipped to my supplier as they have travelled from China to them with no damage. They are packed tight 200 cases to a card box. It's the final courier who damages them by chucking the boxes about. The bubblewrap maybe gives them a bit more shock absorption.

quite a lot of those hours were with it running in the background whilst doing the day job and alt/tab back in for a quick play. Spent a lot of time playing it though. Less than 100 hours on the last few DLC though. I spend most of my time on a mac music making in Logic X these days.

I was one of the first crowd funder backers for Rimworld and started playing with the first released alpha many years ago. I now have 7000+ hours on Steam with it! Some games just get you. Most other games I have are less than 10 hours.

To be fair I often buy large amounts of CD jewel cases and wrapping the card boxes they come in like this does stop them from arriving smashed to bits. It needs about 10 metres of bubble wrap to work though. I have not bought bubble wrap for about 20 years with all the free stuff.

Mostly I make sequences and individual sounds on the modular and sample them into my MPC and chop them up adding lots of processing. Rarely use presets unless it's a piano or sometimes a pad.

I'm not shipping anything to the USA for at least a couple of months even though the cd's and vinyl I sell is supposed to be tariff free. I just know there will be problems with some orders after the chaos with EU VAT when that came in. I'll let the dust settle.

Interesting conversation piece paperweight then. Tad heavy though.

It's worth doing some digging on this. Sometimes it's due to a couple of bios settings that just need changing to get 11 installed. My 15 year old faithful is just too old. Needed a good reason to upgrade and guess this is it. Loathe having to dump my trusty office 2007 for 365.

The mastering.com tutorials that are free on you tube are pretty good at showing how the pro's do it. They use Logic but the fundamental stuff is the same in any DAW. They have some long video covering mixing a whole track from the start to end.

I went to an Ocean game launch at Centresoft in Milton Keynes. They were the main game distributor in the mid eighties. They had crates and crates of free Bollinger. Got absolutely plastered. The car park was full of TVR's and Ferraris. I think that's where the money went!
