I reached out to Patch with questions about the project, he said they’ve been trying to find a way to make it work for a wider audience without messing up the more sensitive stuff. Not an easy feat, there's bound to be parts some people find "tone deaf," but I think the heart’s in the right place.

Trying to have a moment of much needed self reflection, and I'm immediately followed by a trading card shop in Montreal because I mentioned Quebec. Thanks, algorithms.

Yeah, corporate immorality sucks. If anything this at least gives me reason to appreciate the mascot heads I do own. One was made by that studio in Quebec that does stuff for the NHL, NFL, etc.
I'll just have to accept that this newfound passion of mine is going to have some roadblocks.

I mean... I know there's worse things to be concerned with, but I owe a lot to mascots for helping me feel comfortable in socializing with others when I was a little kid. They're a constant source of joy in an otherwise bleak world, and it saddens me to think this is what it comes to..

I know it doesn't concern me but the thought of a perfectly fine costume with all those memories attached to it destroyed, I legitimately want to cry..

I got ahold of some old mascot heads last year. Thought I could make a hobby of refurbishing old costumes and donating them to organizations in my community out of goodwill.
Would be a lot better than a local high school paying too much for some cheaply-made wholesale mascot that barely lasts a year

I was interested in finding that school's previous mascot suit. Saw a pic of it and thought it was cool. I figured if the costume was still intact I could refurb it and donate it to some good cause. Was looking for help as contacting the school directly didn't work. Sorry about all that.
