Also I fixed it up quite a bit more, it looks way better now IMO. Should be good to go whenever I get around to finishing it.

Been playing Dirt Showdown and oh my god it’s the most early 2010s racing games ever.
The artstyle, the music, it has tons of flair that modern racing games just don’t have.
Also the Gymkhana 5/4 Fiesta. The very one that made me a Ken Block fan.

Day 3: I got it back together already, it sounds really neat! I did lube up the switches which, IMO, it feels and sounds better.

Day 2, Part 2: I disassembled the donor board that I’m going to use the switches from. Don’t worry, this board never worked right anyways and is rusted to hell.
It was fun seeing the difference between a damped alps switch and non-damped though. They never made a damped clicky switch.

It’s not perfect, but it looks way better. I’m going to need to find a brush to break the rest of the dust loose so I can vacuum it up.

So, Day 1: removing the key caps and switches. This generally took about 45 minutes and as you can see, the board is pretty dirty. I don’t have any Q-tips on hand to get into the crevices, I’ll save that for day 2.

Cassie is getting another redesign! I wanted to add more sorta early 90s elements with the white spots in the eyes and fluffier hair. It’s still a WIP, and will be more apparent when I get to coloring it.

Finally got a 3D accelerator for my socket 7 system.
Is it fast? Not really. Does it have good support? Nah. Does it have a really cool sounding name? That it does!
