Really excited as most of these are Gundam related, but I did manage to get a Sakuga text alongside one from 1976, at least from Comiket 3. Got a lot in the queue now 😭👌🏽

Going to an aviation conference today so I've got my four stripes on and my favorite engineer and my J12! Going to look at things that SHOULD be Bigros.

Won't he do it? And for $12! Now I have a copy to debind & scan so I can keep the one I got ages ago.

I was also fortunate to secure one of the oldest Legend of the Galactic Heroes doujinshis that I could get, and by surprise. This one, Chess Game, is from 1986. The series itself is noted to have begun in 1984.

Today's mail day has yielded some very great results and some exceedingly undocumented Zeta Gundam doujinshi. This particular one is an anthology of other works, but Four x Kamille gets a dedicated story about their romance. I'd date this one to be from late 2985.

Bringing this one back since Challia got a new figure (alas no Tokwan... YET!)

Garma and Char respectively.

Something I received some time ago, however, this is a piece of the personal letterhead paper of Shiomi Shigeshi (汐見茂思, the penname of Kaoruko Motohashi. Featuring Charma, this paper was not sold and was printed for her own use. I have about 10 more sheets!

As an anthology, these works were first published in the doujin imprints Fanciet and Mahōjin. I have not been able to source these works, but all the same, this is a very important book and one that has never once been documented.

Pleased to announce that Kazue Shinoda's exceedingly rare Gundam parody from Comiket 16 is now available to the public once more via digital archiving! Published in 1980, this work is seminal in that its a post-broadcast documentation of 0079 a fan's work. Links below!

I was invited to share my doujinshi collection with the University's literature department for a queer studies seminar, so I'm excited to say that I'll be making a short survey of my Gundam collection! I'll be sharing this one with you all as well considering. Very excited!

These works are exceedingly important as they were illustrated by fudanshi or even just queer men. Otokogumi Lover's Association falls into a subset of geicomi that appeared at Comiket that was later deemed as urobon (underground book). Both covers are printed very dark for a reason.

I hope you all will enjoy two early Ryouichi Ikegami yaoi doujinshis from 1981. I acquired both from the mangaka C.P. Garlic during her moving sale and have two issues, the artwork is phenomenal. Tons of spicy novels in either issue - larger releases are coming by Monday at best.

Jolly Fellow Devilman from around 1979, Animation Circle Mutant's very robust animation fan club boasted almost 30+ issues. Acquired from M last year, scanned in before my current trip.

A sultry Mari Sakurano by the yaoi/BL mangaka Saeko Takahara, done in 1979 for a group article on the character herself. Sakurano was more than likely just 17 or 18 when she drew this. From vol. 11 of the Raideen F.C.'s "Mutron", January 1st, 1979. Currently being scanned in!

Leatherdom Jiron Amos x Arthur Rank in a Xabungle yaoi segment, from REX's THE ANIME - LICK IT COLLECTION 2. Really excited to share the full book very soon!

Char's shower scene, expounded on, by Makoto Tateno, from the circle REX's "THE ANIME - LICK IT COLLECTION VOL. 2", one of the few ero imprints they made. Debuting at Comiket 23, a year post the 3rd Gundam Compilation film.

What I really enjoy about this particular work is that it reminds me of Brave Raideen / Space Battleship Yamato in several instances. Given the time it was 1st published (June 10th, 1974), it pre-dates Yamato's hand (October 6, 1974). Also, check those staple holes!

I recently archived Mizutani's Gundam parody a few days ago and reached out, and I'm happy he's provided an email. Once again, this is important work, especially when the artists' are this responsive, which is actually quite rare:

"I’m Mizutani Jun. Thank you for reading the doujinshi I published around 1985. Titles include “Parody Edition: Mobile Suit Gundam,” “Parody Edition: Space Battleship Yamato,” “My Uncle Superman 1 & 2,” “Shamblo,” “Such a Tiny Mahjong Tile,” and “Melancholy American Pie,” among others." :")

This is such a beautifully drawn story. I will also release a version that is strictly black and white, but I did want to capture how the Mimeograph would have looked almost 50+ years ago. A disgusting amount of editing is going into it, however.
