I love ginkgos! I first met Claudia in the shade of a massive ginkgo in Vienna. We have several growing on the window sill. Here's a before and after for one of them, spring to summer 😊

So cool that you named your horse Freya, using an Old Norse name! I’ve used the following Old Norse names for horses in my writing: Valr, Hrafn, and Blakkr. I’m writing about 15th century Norse Greenland, so in my case it makes perfect sense. Cheers! 😉

Love this song, never heard Pete’s version. Here are the Byrds from 1965

I was there several years ago with my wife. Rome is one of our favorite cities, there is beauty and history on every corner. And then there’s the food! I hope you’ll have a lovely time visiting. 😉

I'll take a wild guess: the Trevi Fountain in Rome.

I know – I have a master’s in Vegetation Ecology, researching the effects of microtopography on species distribution in Northern boreal spruce forests. The main focus was on bryophytes, which, after two years of field work, I came to know and love. However, cultivating them at home has eluded me. 🫤

Love this. It looks like an botanical alchemists lair. I’ve had several mossariums, although I’ve never managed to keep them thriving over longer periods of time. I do much better with transplanting mosses and ferns on our rather wild property.
