Saw some earlier posts re: the cost of vet euthanasia.
Check local humane societies. The options and cost vary greatly among chapters.
Some don't offer it at all. Some do at very reasonable cost.
Best to all confronting this difficult decision.

It's amazing how often I look to his spot and realize he is gone..
forever. My oldest pup died yesterday. I was there at his birth, and we had a good run of 15.5 yrs of good adventure and fun.
I miss him. Losing a pet is sad. He was a very good boy.

I did not know that prior to Nixon and further subsequent deregulation, most US health providers were not-for-profit.
Don't know which is better, but I do know that most providers now make tons of $$$ , and quality of care is often suspect.
