The shared excitement from today's #Steam hardware announcement is so wholesome; I'm loving this energy!

I love making hardware repair and fact videos, but I'd like to make some game-related content to keep things fresh. My #Pikmin video did really poorly as far as metrics go, but I had a blast making it. What are some games you'd like to see me cover on the channel?

An update for #ACNH was not on my 2025 bingo card, but it's great to see #AnimalCrossing getting some love on Switch 2. I was surprised there hadn't been any AC news so far.

PSA: If you're buying or selling used optical media online, make sure it isn't mailed in a bubble envelope! If you're buying, politely ask the seller about their packaging. If you're selling, use bubble wrap and a cardboard box. So many original cases get destroyed by insufficient packaging.

While it's disappointing that Nintendo continues to release exciting hardware which requires a subscription, I can't deny I'm really excited to be able to play Virtual Boy games with a decently authentic experience. Bring on the headaches and neck pain!

On the upside, the other project for this video has had an unexpected breakthrough! It's an idea so unusual, it might end up working... I can't wait to share it with you! #PlayStation #repair

I'm finally getting around to playing Shenmue 3, only to find out that a re-release was just announced less than a week ago. Talk about serendipity. Guess I'm waiting to upgrade before starting this one! 🤷

Shout out to all the gamers who resell their games when they're done, but leave the pack-in codes for the next owner. You're real ones.

Is it just me, or could anyone else go for a quiet, rainy afternoon configuring a #CUPS server?

It's probably just me, isn't it?

Does everyone remember when Spotify discontinued the Car Thing and the community rallied around cool projects to give it a second life?

Did any of those projects make it out of the "this is just a proof of concept / beta / demo" phase? It seems like online discourse about it really dropped off.

This is how I'm spending my weekend... Stay tuned!
Cell-site simulators (CSS, also known as Stingrays or IMSI catchers) are devices that masquerade as legitimate cell-phone towers, tricking phones within a certain radius into connecting to the device rather than a tower. Our new tool, Rayhunter, can help you find them.
Meet Rayhunter: A New Open Source Tool from EFF to Detect Cellular Spying
Rayhunter is a new open source tool we’ve created that runs off an affordable mobile hotspot that we hope empowers everyone, regardless of technical skill, to help search out cell-site simulators (CSS...

I hope you'll enjoy this new video on a unique Game Boy cartridge. Please let me know how you like it, because I would love to be able to release videos more frequently than I've been able to in the past, and this format would really help with that goal.

Hey, a new Restore\Revise video is going live on Monday!

This one is a little more off the cuff and casual than my usual content, so I hope you'll let me know what you think when it premieres.

I'm shooting another video that's more typical for the channel this weekend, as well.

Deleting accounts you're no longer using is so satisfying. When is the last time you did some digital spring cleaning?

A password manager makes this task much easier! 😉

I recommend #bitwarden or #keepass if you have yet to try one out! If you have a favorite, share it with the community!

I saw this ad for Safari on YouTube, and it strikes me as odd. I don't think most would jump ship to another brand just for a browser, especially when most of the top picks are cross platform. I guess this is aimed at owners of Apple devices who use other browsers? Seems like a niche target group.

Did that big Half Life 2 update drop yet? I'm not noticing anything new so far, but the game looks lovely in 4K on Series X.

I have at least 3-4 videos that I put time into filming in 2024 which didn't end up making it through production, mostly due to something going wrong or just not turning out to be very interesting. Is a sort of "Videos that didn't make it 2024" roundup something that would be interesting to watch?

I'm busy working on my #retrogaming holiday wish list - what's on yours this year?

Also, is it going too far to ask for a Hitachi HiSaturn Navi?

I'm thinking about making a video on content creation with an open-source operating system. I know it's been done before, but I've never seen discussion on the topic that felt especially in depth, past "it runs, so it works!"
