Good news for Shandon and the Kinsale Museum. Both have been allocated grants totalling €322,000 from the national Historic Structure Fund to restore their clocks to working order.

A Clock Tower without a working clock makes no sense.

Everyone is talking about the exquisite restoration of Notre Dame and everyone is talking about the pitiful deterioration of Clock Tower. #RestoreClockTower. #NotreDamedeParis.

We need @OPW to come in and take over from @Corkcoco & @PortofCork. They are out of their depth.

If it was up to #TidyTowns, Clock Tower would be a building to be proud of. Here they are sprucing up the sign outside.

Instead we’ve had to suffer years of Cork County Council and Port of Cork’s ownership and inaction.
