With amnesia the world was pretty confusing. I wasn’t sure who to trust so I trusted everyone, even my neurologist
Who told me it was just in my mind
The pseudo-stroke and the pseudoseizures
She said “you don’t need tests because it says here that you’re mentally ill”
I paraphrase slightly

Today marks 1100 days of myoclonic seizures following brain trauma that has been dismissed under the NHS as “in my head”.
I know my brain, I also know my buns.

I thought I was happy, ambitious. they told me I was mad
I must have imagined my life
