This works well when the opposition party actually has power...like the House being one party and the Senate being another...this is just performative...they can call for hearings or impeachment...but they don't have the gavel so they have no power to actually have the hearing or vote.

If we only had a judiciary that would hold them accountable...laws on the books for instances like this a great but also useless if the AG won't prosecute.

Or the 27% might just understand how congress works and knows that they are in the minority in both the House and the Senate. But...if the Dems in congress are do inept, why not offer some solid suggestions on what actions they could take.

If it is also GOP voters...the way the Senators are confirming some of his cabinet picks, they surely are not being listened to...

What crazy to me is that they are advocating for this like it is a cost reduction measure...the service will still be needed just privatized...meaning the government will give a private contractor a contract, a government contract...the government will still pay!

When you ask this ?, no one criticizing has a legit answer...I am not sure what people don't understand about all 3 branches of government being GOP led. They are in control...period. All this criticizing but not 1 can articulate what can be done, actually be done by Dems.

I get it, but we have to remember the judge in FL who appeared to do everything she could to hamstring Smith & help dude skirt the law. I am not an attorney but it seems like Garland was hamstrung as well in terms of what he could do considering the judges orders.

The minority party can't impeach over and over again. The house would have to impeach, they are led by Republicans who will not impeach him, the Senate would have to try him, also currently led by Republicans. He's been impeached twice...both times by a Dem house but acquitted by a GOP senate.

Not to mention, that 15 million dems stayed home...not ALL of them was some sort of protest vote regarding Gaza. That was the time to stop him. 2/2

Right...everyone, not in office, are talking about they have options & they can do something, no one is articulating what those options are. Folks voted him in in 16, allowing him 3 SC justices. They just voted him in again, along with both chambers. The time to stop him was during the election. 1/2

Dems drug their asses? Who impeached him? The only reason he is POTUS now is because the GOP voted to acquit in both impeachment trials.

They got Pete in at 51 - 50...changing the constitution requires 2/3 of both chambers...this bill is for show at best.

I wonder how votes would be if every company asked the shareholders...this IS a big number but I think more shareholders of companies would want it to stay than not...especially considering how companies with diverse workforces fair compared to those who don't or will roll diversity back.

Well when one candidate is calling for a cease fire and the other is calling on Israel to finish the job. The candidate calling for a cease fire is a woman of Black/Asian ethnicity, and the person calling for finishing the job is an Anglo man. One could surmise that racism and sexism were at play.

What's crazy is that we are back in the realm of trying to figure out if direct quotes and statements are actually from him or satire from someone else. I am reading this and thinking "he couldn't have said this". The issue is the doubt in itself. To think we had really moved beyond it mattering.
