The Critical Drinker and Nerdrotic have incredibly basic media tastes though. Especially on TV. They barely scratch the surface and are unbelievably ignorant of modern content.

You mean news in general? I don't get what you mean here. People use social media for a ton of stuff, news as being one of them, but there's no way the Australian government could actually stop news being spread on those platforms anyway - Australian sourced or not.

Yes, they did - but we're talking about an era prior to social media where there wasn't a huge amount of competition in this sphere. If Australian news sites were invisible on Google, Facebook, Tiktok etc they simply would get almost no view now. This is akin to a tax for just being Australian news

Serbia hasn't been Serbia for its entire history. But who gives a fuck? Albanians in Kosovo have made up a majority in that region for well over 100 years. That's easily enough.

You act as if the Albanians arrived in Kosovo shortly before the Yugoslav Wars when they in fact comprised a majority in the region in 1912, and very probably for some time earlier. They ceased to be an imported demographic via immigration a long time ago.
