My cue to harp on about, unfortunately, the 48 states that do not allocate their Electoral College delegates proportionally to their popular votes. That's a longer term issue, though, so absolutely get out - and protect - the vote.!

Sounds like a well adjusted teenager to me. 😁

⬆️ This ⬆️ We keep talking about laws, regulations, & "they can't do that" when GOP/MAGA has clearly shown us that yes, they can, they are, and they will. They have complete disregard for those when it furthers their cause.

I don't have great answers. Helpful read:

Teeny correction: GOP broke the rules with the backroom, decisions, zero public input, and non-disinterested paid analysts.

Dems are at least improving the game with referendums.

And for Presidential elections, either:

- require states to proportionally allocate their electoral delegates by popular vote (48 states are winner-take-all),

or (and better yet, IMO)

- eliminate the Electoral College all together
(There's one correct answer here 👆 for those of a certain age 😉)

Yes, and to create a greater barrier for new voters. Say you're a divorced female w/name change:

New passport: $ 165
Birth certificate: 9-34
Marriage license: 20-120
Divorce decree: 4-25
Photos: 15-20
Priority mail: 12 (x4 w/certs)

Total: $201 - 401

Nope. ID, yes, not passports or official birth certificates. "As of February 2026: Eight states — have passed laws requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote in at least some cases."

#Arizona
#Georgia
#Kansas
#Louisiana

Important point & information found through the #LWV link. Just to be clear, mine was about the possibility of people outside, in the vicinity, furthering the MAGA attempts at intimidation.

I wouldn't discount the possibility of red governors calling out the National Guard and a certain subset of "observers" showing up outside & armed. Ways to help:

I don't disagree. It's been one party's or the other's platform since platforms. I, however, believe we can and should simultaneously address mistrust/safety in voting, connecting with non-voters, and recognizing people's day-to-day concerns.

"to give half-hearted praise that implies actual dislike or disapproval": Mamdani is the prime example here where establishment Dems did not "read the room"

Town halls? Protests? Never said they didn't. I'm aware. I've attended. I've watched. My Dem rep's great (in a red state, too).

Also, I've been asking you for hours to consider that the Democratic status quo isn't working like it used to. To this end, I've provided data from credible sources. For folks who keep telling me "vibes" don't matter, there sure are a lot of "vibes." 🤷
