Larger deliveries, such as an S-400 air defense system, would likely require several trips. Aviacon Zitotrans, the operator of the Ilyushin, has a fleet of six transport aircraft and is under sanctions by the U.S., Canada and Ukraine for its ties to the Russian military. It has delivered military equipment such as rockets, warheads, and helicopter parts globally, including to regions where the mercenary Wagner group has been active. The Wagner group, formerly headed by Yevgeny Prigozhin, has been a key tool used by Russian president Vladimir Putin to extend his country’s global geopolitical reach and was particularly active in Africa, with reports of some activity in Latin America. Following the group’s mutiny in 2023, it was absorbed into the Russian military proper, with its African operations turned into the Russian Africa Corps.

The U.S. is set to be in the fairly unusual position of having only a single aircraft carrier deployed and none in the waters off both Europe and the Middle East. The change is especially stark after the U.S. joined Israeli strikes on Iran in June and has engaged in some of the most intense combat operations since World War II against Yemen's Houthi rebels in the Red Sea.

Employers in the U.S. agricultural sector are facing a structural, not cyclical, workforce crisis driven by both the lack of an available legal workforce that is relatively mobile and able to adjust to changes in labor demands as well as an ever hastening loss of the mobile illegal alien workforce that had flowed in and out of the United States through a previously porous border.[55] Nationwide illegal crossings are now at a rate 93% lower than the peak level reached during the prior four years, a rate that has held steady since June of 2025. As discussed below and based on the Department's most recent NAWS data on U.S. crop workers, much of this illegal inflow artificially boosted the supply of labor at relatively lower costs compared to the labor costs associated with a legal workforce. The near total cessation of the inflow of illegal aliens combined with the lack of an available legal workforce, results in significant disruptions to production costs and threatening the stability of domestic food production and prices for U.S consumers. Great article and it's a concept that I find very attractive. However, nonviolent secession seems to lack the success rate of other forms of nonviolent resistance, according to Chenoweth & Stephan's research at least. That said, it's worth a try.
One might assume that the success rates may have increased among both nonviolent and violent insurgencies. But in our data, we find the opposite: although they persist, the success rates of violent insurgencies have declined. The most striking finding is that between 1900 and 2006, nonviolent resistance campaigns were nearly twice as likely to achieve full or partial success as their violent counterparts. The only exception is that nonviolent resistance leads to successful secession less often than violent insurgency. Although no nonviolent secession campaigns have succeeded, only four of the forty-one violent secession campaigns have done so (less than 10 percent), also an unimpressive figure. The implication is that campaigns seeking secession are highly unlikely to succeed regardless of whether they employ nonviolent or violent tactics.
