That is true. That's what I fear when people keep posting, 'don't vote for any dem that is supported by the democratic party cause both parties are the same' crowd. I hate to say it, but the left does have a lot of people like that, too, maybe not as many as right, but still.

I would say most people on here would vote for Crockett, but if she lost, we would vote for whoever was a dem on the ticket. We wouldn't pout about it and stay home. To win in a red state is different.

It comes down to this calculus. Are there more liberal protest voters that will stay home if their perfect candidate is not nominated. Or are there more centrists and independents that will stay home or vote red if The candidate is too left. IN SWING STATES! . Sorry. Its a numbers game. Reality.

Oh yeah. I got the same benifits from trump as I did biden lol. they are all the same. It's the same to have extended tax cuts for rich vs not having them. Having health care subsidies vs not having them. It's the same having biden appointing justices than trump appointing them. All the same.

I think people staying home in 2024 gave Pennsylvania a republican senator. That and Musk's money. Now we have to wait 6 years to claim that seat again.

It was weakness, i agree, you can see how people dont care in the end what trump does, if you are a republican. But i dont live in West virginia, and they will never ever vote for a progressive there. And him having a (d) in front of his name gave us control of the senate, which is huge.

I took a stand and voted Nader in 2000. Imagine where we would be enviornmentally if the centrist Gore got elected instead of Bush.

And if we ever want the senate back, we have to put up with centrists like Manchin, unfortunately. Just the way it is. And that will never change, especially since people bailed on Hillary and we have the fucked up Supreme court. Taking a stand did that. Also, it made racial gerrymandering legal.

I respectfully think opposite. Obama won 68% electoral votes and most people on here label him as a centrist. I am for pushing centrists to the left. But I am not going to tank the country if they dont cross my purity line
