I have always loved TV. Even Canadian TV. I have a hard time finding US programs, months, even years, after they air. Here I am - to fill a void. Maybe. researchette.tumblr.com
Canada may be three media companies stacked in a trench coat, but I'm glad we get all of our games in-market.

When K, F and O, showed up on the podcast in the Match Game finale clip, I thought of this classic (in my house, anyway) moment, which, apparently, came AFTER their cameo: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqGg...

My high school played 1812 Overture when I was in marching band and it's still my favorite show.

Very interesting. Have you seen the Rifftrax movies, The Careless Years and Married Too Soon? They both have some interesting things to say about mid-century teenage relationships and "Good girls" vs. "Bad girls." Especially Careless Years.

I had to meet with the bank to renew my mortgage this week and I sure wish Sandal would have been the loan officer. Much less loud laughing at their own jokes.

"It Lives By Night," where the married couple have a relationship that is falling apart because he's becoming a bat monster, could really roll into a present-day elevated horror movie. "You see, the bat represents alcoholism...and trauma, of course, trauma."

I know that I would like to see a gritty reboot of I Accuse My Parents. Or perhaps a full-on comedy where Jimmy is REALLY, REALLY ignorant of the crime going on around him. Or make it a full-scale musical and create a bunch of original songs. I mean, so many ways to take it.

It may be recency bias (totally is), but I can't stop thinking about Murderland by Caroline Fraser. It's fascinating on so many levels, as memoir, as environmental disaster, as true crime and impossible to put down.

Just this morning, I literally stopped on my way home to watch a fat squirrel eating a nut by the side of the road. Truly the reason for the season.

I truly love Time Chasers. It's an excellent example of a low-budget movie that says "Hey, this is what we have - a small plane, a Commodore 64, some American Revolution re-enactors, a public library" and makes something pretty great for what it is.

It's like if Nixon kept quoting, "To the moon, Alice!" during Watergate.
