Boston City Council is expected to vote on the budget by June 11, following which Mayor Wu has seven days to act on to the City Council’s version. City Council may override any mayoral vetoes with a two-thirds majority before the end of the fiscal year. 13/13

The first W&M Committee hearings on April 14 and 15 will be about the Boston Public Schools budget. On April 17, two hearings will cover an overview of the proposed FY26 operating and capital budgets. Hearings will continue in April and May. 12/13
