Not even to mention at this point we’ve had another major character death that wasn’t real, we don’t need to do that again. In general super hero stories need to evolve and keep characters dead for good. It leads to much more interesting story telling. But of course we will never have that

Their entire character arcs have revolved around this death and bringing him back would completely fuck up any development that has been made. His death was the first real major consequence in the series and meant so much that he was really dead that bringing him back would mess up almost everything

It definitely feels like I chose a solid one for a first Batman comic to be reading monthly. I’m really looking forward to where Taylor is taking this

That being said, other stories have shown him not reacting like this so it is definitely not the best character moment of his, but not complete dogshit like I’ve heard people saying. I’m still really looking forward to reading this run (also I know I’m like super late to this discussion lol)

At this point in Bruce’s career he has gone up against literal gods and in general seeing a gun most likely triggered some kind of fight or flight.

I feel like what people need to take into account is the fact that Bruce is a deeply flawed person and he realized that he reacted horribly and in a way that wasn’t helpful.

Any suggestions for Barry comics besides Flashpoint? I really love Flash but I haven’t read much of him yet in comic form
