Corporations are shooting themselves in the foot. If they would stop disappearing all the jobs and start paying decent wages we might have a decent economy. They don’t pay the CEOs the big bucks because they know how to do math.

I’ve had pretty good success with shopping online without Amazon. It’s more work but worth it. Sometimes I pay shipping depending on if I feel it is worth it. Gas is so expensive shipping is often cheaper than driving.

Mr Reich is my math correct? Adjusting minimum wage for cost of living increases means that minimum wage set at $7.25 per hour in 2009 is now equivalent to $4.98 per hour as of 2024? Minimum wage is now much less than $7.25 per hour because there have been no cost of living adjustments.

Love this. Before pandemic I drove Uber/Lyft. Many passengers worked for Amazon. When I learned about how badly the employees were being abused I cut Amazon dead. Haven’t had anything to do with them since.

I quit Amazon Prime in 2016. Haven’t shopped there since and use other sources for entertainment. Most places will give free shipping if you hit the right dollar amount. Better yet, go to a brick and mortar.

Now we need to find a replacement for the calendar app that has deleted Black History Month and Pride. I never liked the alerts anyway because they don’t have a 12 hour alert. If I have to leave home at 6am I want to be reminded the night before.
