One of the grimmest realizations I had in the military was that the vast and frightening apparatus that we constructed to battle “terror” might one day be turned inward. Those of you who have lived in the belly of the beast understand why this is so chilling. It’s a very potent machine misused.

Spent an inordinate amount of time today glazing 8 pieces of pottery, including this honey pot. Hand painted underglaze wild flowers with bees. Tomorrow pieces get dropped off for glaze fire!
