Colorado needs leadership that puts working people first, holds powerful interests accountable, and builds a State that is affordable for everyone.

Former Representative Armagost kicked off an online harassment campaign against me and my family which was enabled by Republican leadership. I’m speaking out because this type of workplace misconduct keeps women, people of color, and other vulnerable communities out of politics.

Our tax code is set up to benefit the ultra-rich and giant corporations. I’m using my understanding of our rigged system to fight for a tax policy that benefits working people, not just the 1%.

As a tax attorney, I was trained to find corporations tax loopholes.

I was shocked to learn just how our tax system is rigged for the wealthy and well connected.

Republicans are shuttering rural hospitals and throwing countless Coloradans off Medicaid, while enabling their billionaire funders to conceal wealth in offshore accounts.

I’m proud to introduce HB25B-1002, which cracks down on tax havens and funds the programs that Coloradans rely on to survive.

We should not be talking about giving the ultra-rich a massive discount while working people pay taxes on every dollar they earn. HB25B-1001 is about fairness, which means ensuring that our tax code isn’t putting the burden on those who are already struggling.

The Democrats are laser focused this session - because we know every dollar we save by closing corporate tax loopholes is another dollar for education, for health care, for food assistance, for the essential services that Coloradans rely on.

We’re stepping up to solve this crisis responsibly.
