Father, Husband, Veteran | Congressman proudly representing Virginia’s Seventh District

This week, I visited Eugene Triplett's fifth-generation family farm in Culpeper.

As the only Virginian on the Ag Committee, I was honored to visit his farm, hear his story, and discuss how I'm working to save programs that help him sell produce to local churches and schools.
You know about Trump and Zelesnkyy’s call, but have you heard about the call between Trump and the Saudi Crown Prince?

Watch my statement below. Mr. President, release the transcript.

I’m relieved to see a bipartisan coalition of my Senate colleagues vote ‘yes’ on releasing the Epstein files tonight.

Now, the only barrier standing between survivors and justice is POTUS.

I urge you to do the right thing for once, Mr. President.

🚨I JUST voted to release the Epstein files.

My ‘yes’ vote is a no brainer. I hope my colleagues in the Senate join us in standing on the right side of history.

While the world is focused on Mohammed bin Salman today, I want to bring the conversation back to the journalist murdered for doing his job, Jamal Khashoggi.

I will always stand up for the freedom of the press.

We won’t allow this President to sweep it under the rug. Justice is still owed.

President Trump keeps saying his hands are tied. They aren’t.

If he wanted the Epstein files released, he could do it today. He doesn't need to wait for an act of Congress.

🚨I’m proud that my team has returned more than $4 MILLION in backlogged tax refunds, Social Security checks, VA benefits, and more to residents in the Seventh District.

If you are facing an issue with a federal agency, please reach out to my office. We are here to help!

Rural Americans deserve better.

As the only Virginian on the House Agriculture Committee, I’ll keep fighting for our rural communities — so that no one ever has to choose between accessing health care and putting food on the table.

Cindy and I are heartbroken by the news that a Virginia corrections officer was killed and another was injured in the line of duty this morning.

I'm thankful for the corrections officers and law enforcement officials who keep our communities safe.

This week, Congress will vote on releasing the Epstein files. It seems like this is finally becoming a commonsense, bipartisan issue across the House. Good.

I will work with anyone to take on corruption and serve justice.

Thinking of all those impacted by the fires in Culpeper this weekend.

I'm grateful for the Culpeper County Volunteer Fire and EMS departments who selflessly responded to the scene. I'm thankful that no one was hurt.
Local, state firefighters battle multiple wildfires Sunday in Culpeper-area
As most people were enjoying a sunny day off, low humidity, dry conditions and strong gusting winds in the region sparked flames; the largest burned 9 acres near Winston.

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month. Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-death in the U.S., and every year thousands of individuals receive a diagnosis.

I hope you’ll join me in honoring the lives lost and in uplifting those living with the disease.

I was honored to join the Marshall Legacy Institute for their 2025 Clearing the Path Gala.

It was great to celebrate their work providing humanitarian assistance to war-torn countries and eliminating the deadly impact of landmines. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Workers and families went weeks without income or SNAP benefits during the shutdown.

But eight senators being investigated for efforts to overturn the 2020 election still managed to slip a $1 million taxpayer-funded payout for themselves into the budget.

This is NOT public service.

Last week, Tarazha and Alejandra from my team attended the PWC Chamber–4H Engage Locally event.

It was great to see Virginia students showcasing thoughtful, community-driven projects. I’m excited to support their next steps!

If you’re going to block SNAP benefits for 42 million Americans, you should probably at least know how much a SNAP benefit is worth.

Apparently that’s too much to ask of Secretary Rollins.

Sudan is facing catastrophic shortages of food, water, and medicine.

Twelve million people have been displaced.

The scale of this humanitarian crisis calls for urgent action.

Congratulations to Madison County High School for being named one of the Top 25 schools nationwide in T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights competition.

It was inspiring to see the Madison County community come together, show their pride, and celebrate what Friday nights are all about.

Three years ago today, Lavel Davis Jr., Devin Chandler, and D’Sean Perry were tragically killed by a gunman at UVA.

I join their loved ones, teammates, and the UVA community in mourning their loss today and every day.

My recent trip to Kyiv made clear that standing with our allies in Ukraine remains squarely in the interest of U.S. national security.

As I told @velshimsnbc.bsky.social, Congress must release the aid we’ve already approved and pass the Sanctioning Russia Act of 2025.

November is Rural Health Month. I’m proud to honor the clinics and caregivers in our rural communities who work tirelessly to provide quality care.

Last night, my vote was simple: hell no.
