Jud's belief in the tenets of catholicisim was very inspiring bc of how whole-hearted and earnest it is. There's a very world-weary but unironic truth in his acknowledgement that you have to choose to meet the world with open arms, and that you have to choose to let your belief sustain you

okay, true.... but the portrayal of jud's belief felt very refreshing and wholesome. it reminded me of what i thought catholicism was about as a child before i knew better

it's probably best to play silksong right out of hollow knight. you're already trained up from the first game, so you're ready for the difficulty. but also, silksong has more options if you hit a difficulty spike to go and do other things and come back or straight up take another path
