It was an incredibly valuable event that brought together a bipartisan, bicameral group of legislators to connect with life science stakeholders from across the region. We had some wonderful dialogue about how we can promote investment, innovation, and growth in this critical industry.

"If operating margins are so narrow for cyber charters, why do they have so much $ left over to put in the bank (as well as spending on other areas like marketing)? & given that all of that money comes from the taxpayers, should cyber charters be allowed to continue to collect such large amounts?"

In the 2 years since that ruling, we've made some real progress in closing the funding gaps... and those new resources are making a difference for children in schools across the commonwealth.

The 2023 Commonwealth Court ruling was quite clear- the state funding for education has been inadequate, inequitable, and unconstitutional. It shortchanges students all across the commonwealth- students who each have a right to a thorough and efficient education.
