Much of my artwork has been wordless. Probably a large majority. But that's been shifting in the last few years. Yes, I always wrote. Frankly, I'm prolix. But for a long time the two worlds were kept separate. That was never really a goal or an intentional thing. It was just where I ended up.

Her work is genius! So, that got me wondering whether she's on BlueSky. Turns out she is. Hooray!

For the few people who have been paying attention to my work for years, it may come as a surprise that the words are the thing for me as far as visual art is concerned.

I want you to read and (if I'm lucky) savor the words more than anything else. This got me thinking about how, at least conceptually, @jennyholzer.bsky.social is the artist who has influenced me more than any other. I've been aware and in love for probably at least 36 years at this point.
