Open enrollment must be extended to give people the time and flexibility they need to choose their coverage.

I’ve called on the Trump administration to take this simple step, but if they won’t act, Congress must.

I met with NH parents about how their health care costs are massively increasing due to the expiring ACA enhanced premium tax credits - their premiums have tripled.

They are not alone in the struggle to afford health care. Republican inaction in Congress will make it worse for working families.

Joined ReGen Valley Tech Hub’s groundbreaking ceremony at their new Facility and Training Center in Manchester last week.

The ReGen Valley is at the forefront of developing regenerative tissues and organs, and this new space will be critical in expanding their capacity and workforce development.

This fight is and always has been about preventing a drastic increase in health care costs and making life more affordable for Granite Staters. As the House finally returns to session, that is where our focus must remain.

Honored to join veterans and community members at the New Hampshire Veterans Home today to recognize Veterans Day.

We owe those who have served us in uniform a tremendous debt, and I’m committed to ensuring all our veterans receive the quality care, services, and respect they have earned.

The deal reached in the Senate on government funding fails to prevent a massive increase in health insurance costs for families and small businesses, and for that reason I can’t support it.
November 10, 2025 at 3:42 PM
I’m working to extend the 2026 open enrollment period, deliver food assistance to Granite Staters in need, cut red tape to build more housing, and fight President Trump’s tariffs, which are making life more expensive for everyone.

Listen in. ⬇️

Small business owners and employees account for nearly half of people that get health insurance through the Affordable Care Act Marketplace.

Without extending the ACA enhanced premium tax credits, premiums have massively increased. This is money that families and small businesses do not have.
November 6, 2025 at 3:23 PM
At a time that health care and cost-of-living is way too high for everyday families, Congress must extend the ACA enhanced premium tax credits to keep health insurance costs lower.

Not doing so would be a huge step backwards on the delivery and access of health care in NH communities.

I’m joining @bynum.house.gov in introducing the bipartisan Accelerating Home Building Act to expand tools and resources for local governments, empowering them to cut red tape and ease the process of building more housing.

Earlier today I visited CAP Belknap-Merrimack’s food pantry in Laconia to help deliver food and hear how their operations are impacted by the government shutdown and Trump administration threatening to not deliver food assistance benefits to millions.

I’m grateful for what they and all our CAPs do.

Open enrollment has begun with sticker shock as individuals are confronted with eye-popping premium increases. The open enrollment period must be extended to May 1st so that people have the time and flexibility to find health insurance that works for them.

I’m leading the call.

Just left Laconia where I stopped by the Belknap-Merrimack Community Action Program and delivered food for their food pantry.

New Hampshire has seen an increased need for food assistance over the last few years. I’m fighting to protect SNAP and support organizations like theirs.

The Affordable Care Act Marketplace is now open to compare plans at healthcare.gov. Granite Staters can see their insurance costs for 2026 - which have skyrocketed.

I’ll keep fighting for people’s access to affordable health care and to lower the cost of living.

Public works departments in New Hampshire work incredibly hard to maintain and build strong communities.

Today I joined the New Hampshire Public Works Association to give an update on my work on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee to support their important work.
October 30, 2025 at 7:30 PM
While Republicans refuse to come to the table to extend the ACA premium tax credits, Granite Staters are seeing the price they will pay.

In Manchester, a couple making $85,000 could see their health care bill jump from $617 to $1,881 a month. That’s a 200% increase–an additional $15,000 a year.

Since the shutdown began, I’ve been listening to families, community organizations, health centers, and small businesses across New Hampshire, and I’ve repeatedly called on the Speaker to bring the House back.

Here’s an update.
October 29, 2025 at 3:21 PM
Nearly 7 million pregnant women, children, and infants who rely on WIC are in danger of losing this critical resource while the House has been out of session for five weeks.

Today I led a call for Speaker Johnson to put politics aside, bring the House back, and protect WIC for those who rely on it.
October 28, 2025 at 8:34 PM
I met with New Hampshire community health centers about the urgent need for Congress to extend the ACA tax credits or else hardworking Granite Staters will see their health insurance premiums skyrocket, and thousands will lose coverage altogether.
October 28, 2025 at 4:43 PM
Had a great discussion with veterans at Rochester Manor this week about how the Republican cuts to Medicaid are affecting access to health care.

I’ll always fight for NH families and veterans, from reversing cuts to Medicaid to working to deliver a full-service VA hospital.
October 24, 2025 at 2:40 PM
New Hampshire small business W.H. Bagshaw’s health insurance costs will exceed what they spend on raw materials for production next year if Congress does not take action to renew the expiring ACA premium tax credits.

It’s urgent that Congress gets this done–for our small businesses and families.

Kicked off my day at Easterseals NH & VT Celebration Breakfast in Manchester!

The work Easterseals does changes lives for the better every day. The theme of this year’s event, “inspiring possibilities,” is borne out in their services that have touched the lives of so many in the Granite State.

The House should be in Washington doing the work to reopen the government and make sure people’s insurance premiums don’t massively increase.

I’m supporting changing the House rules to require us to be in five days a week during a shutdown. It’s simple: we don’t go home until our job is done.
October 22, 2025 at 5:52 PM
I’m speaking out on behalf of the people of New Hampshire who care deeply about having access to the care they need. The Affordable Care Act premium tax credits allow them to get that care.

Congress can end the government shutdown and deal with our health care crisis at the same time.
