We are on the ground supporting Government Ministries dedicated to safeguarding all individuals within their communities. One of those is the Secretariat Against Sexual Violence, Exploitation, and Human Trafficking (SVET).

In 2024, our joint mobile initiatives impacted over 85,000 individuals.

Inclusive cities are safer cities!

The Municipality, offers weekly Zumba classes in 22 areas of the city in the evenings. These gatherings serve to promote integration of refugees in the city & reduce violence by reclaiming public spaces. We are proud to support!

In Guatemala, Faith Communities play a crucial role in providing sanctuary and essential services to refugees and others in need.

In Esquipulas, near the border with Honduras, our Field Office collaborates with Casa de Migrante and a Convent, assisting refugees and internally displaced persons.

For refugees, having access to a bank account is the first step to guaranteeing financial inclusion. In Guatemala, we partner with local banks to ensure this access.

I have to say, I just love spending time with this couple! Refugees in 🇬🇹 they were one of the first families I met upon arrival.

They now have a thriving business in Guatemala where they hire locals and contribute to their hosting communities. Every time I see them, my heart smiles!
