One of my first pieces. Choctaw Nation Historic Preservation asked for artists to recreate pre-contact clothing for our incoming (at the time) Cultural Center. This vlhkuna was made from hand-spun stinging nettle, dyed with black walnut hulls, and shell beads that were provided by Choctaw Nation.
