A few days ago, my wife and I packed a couple of sports bags on my motorcycle and we rode the coastal circle route in British Columbia. Between old growth forests, inlets, totem poles and good friends, my trepidations melted away. tinyurl.com/52e9w6u5

The Renaissance wasn't just about beautiful works of art. It was also about finding a way to take the itch out of wool and for rich people to avoid eternal damnation. History is in the details. Some notes in my post from listening to historians: tinyurl.com/2v2e3m9v

An oasis of tranquillity: the International Buddhist Temple in Richmond, BC, is a special place. I was riding my motorbike in the area and stopped for a visit. It's an incredible complex that inspires meditation and serenity. Something that resonated: "Feelings are just visitors; let them go."

The remarkable story of the electric car starts a long time ago. Invented before gas-powered engines became dominant, EVs were the urban cars of choice and also very popular with women. Ferdinand Porsche, the founder of the sports car company, was an early adopter, too. lnkd.in/gy79ZPct

Samuel Pepys was one of history's renowned diarists. His million-word journal described life in the 1600s in great detail.

Journal writing is something many of us still do, for things like therapy, recipes and travel. More on diaries, calendars and chronicles in my post: tinyurl.com/dtnhuwyn
