I'm going to be at Bug Fest as vendor! This is gonna be a really cool event with lots of bug themed art and activities to enjoy. The best part? The market part of the event is outside so no ticket required!

Today is World Biodiversity Day and I want to share some of PA's diverse pollinators. I created this interpretive design to educate visitors about the abundance of pollinators in PA. Creating an interpretive board like this is of my dream career projects! Who's your favorite?

Does anyone recognize this species? It's the dobsonfly and its larvae called a hellgrammite. These are always such a fun find during a stream study both because they are so cool and because they are an indicator of stream health.

Mycelium is the basis of fungi and incredibly mysterious. I illustrated this as a representation of the relationship between mycelium and trees (and everything else in the soil).

This is a sketchbook page from when I visited Cincinnati over the summer. I 100% recommend visiting Newport Aquarium, it is a super cool place.

There is nothing common about the common octopus! Nine brains? No wonder they are so smart.

I created this guide for a younger age group to understand the differences between predators and prey animals. I had the idea to illustrate it as if it were part of a kid's science magazine. Formatting all of the text was a fun challenge.

I went to the Museum of the Earth in Ithaca today and sketched this octopus specimen! It was a great way to spend a rainy day.

I love mushrooms, seriously they have been an obsession of mine for a long time. It occurred to me recently that I never really illustrate them. I decided to remedy this with a selection of mid-atlantic boletes. I'm planning to do a greyscale and color version of this :)

Colorized California Mollusks! Working in greyscale is great but something about a full color illustration hits different.

Have you ever heard of endosymbiosis? Its when species conduct a relationship with one inside of the other. The Spotted Salamander is the only known case of algae endosymbiosis occurring inside a vertebrate. As soon as I read about this, I knew I had to illustrate it.

Who knew drawing frogs was so fun? These are two of my favorite native frogs, although I've only seen the Leopard Frog in the wild.

New stickers for all the gastropod lovers! Super happy with how these turned out. Check out my website for where you can find them in the wild :)

I recently redid the text on this illustration and am much happier with it. Has anyone seen a Pawpaw tree in real life?
