This book is about how we use the word “Luddite” disparagingly, as an accusation that someone is too dumb to understand or appreciate technology.

Actually, the Luddites were a well-organized LABOR movement that only objected to technology being deployed in a reckless and destructive way.

I don’t know a lot but my basic understanding is that it’s built on the same foundation as BlueSky, which means that you can customize the feeds you use and have more control over algorithms that affect what you see. You can take your username and followers to other platforms. No billionaire owner.

I don’t blame them, preserving historic buildings is important too! Hoping for an eventual compromise that can benefit everyone :)

I do really like the book themed fencing! I don’t mind that the outside isn’t particularly flashy, it makes the inside all the more exciting by contrast. It definitely does seem like the signage is too small though. The Liberty side could have it high up in one row in a bright/contrast color 🤔

There is a great book on the direct connection between violence to children like this and how it leads directly to right wing authoritarian views. Tuberville is actually giving a demonstration here. “I was hit and now I encourage violence and deny its harm”

It’s called “The Politics of Denial”
