Tbh that scroll/spell’s language is you can’t have been dead for more than 200 not undead which is its own classification so a DM could rule it allowable. Beauty of D&D is the art of interpretation~!

It’s not consistent with dialogue where he says he was dead more than 200 years, this timeline makes him dead only 192 but inconsistency does feel character accurate lol as a DM I’d keep the DR since it makes sense to me even with Caz’s personal account noted

My whole gripe is just that it’s very inconsistent whichever year set it’s not 100% fitting. And then them never coming out to say they intended it one way or the other. So we separate game from sourcebook or we can say these are the dates Asty remembers, or combine the two.

They doubled down on the dates when they made his Idle profile too and Astarion himself used the 3 digit DR year when he carved into the stone but this supplement was written with Stephen so it’s just very inconsistent.

The dev note specified DR and NR is also not really used below the northern region. Honestly feels like they confused themselves about their own timeline.
