We use the Nara Baby app. It's so easy and free and it's been a lifesaver for us personally. But a spreadsheet is also fire.

As someone who has been doing this all of 4 months longer than you - my kid really likes The Decemberists. The music is chill but interesting. She also really likes Flood (mostly Birdhouse & Istanbul so sadly she's kinda a poseur)
