Even so, I'm learning that it's essential to hold on to hope and one's will to fight. Fascism attempts to crush us to the point of hopelessness and despair. Unity, friendship, and community are essential right now.

Please don't let them crush your spirit, no matter what they try.

I had to tell someone who is virtually homeless that the program designed specifically for people facing homelessness was shut down because of Tr*mp. This administration quietly destroys programs that keep people alive and then crucifies queer and BIPOC folx. It's rage-inducing and depressing.

"Black people would have done the same thing (slavery) if they were in power!"

"People on the left have to paint people on the right as evil to maintain their power!"

It makes me so angry because this is how we get to where we are today, and there are so many groups like the one I was in.

I have blocked and unfollowed many of these people. It is still so frustrating to see people - some who I have quite literally known since I was a child - come out of the woodwork to defend people who actively platform hate and violence.
