Pink taco (not a euphemism) birthday dinner in Roma Norte CDMX. It was so good!

Beautiful flowering trees in Roma Norte, Mexico City. It reminds me of LA, where I spent my last birthday, except this time, no roaches in the lovely place where I'm staying. My birthday wish today is for Donald Trump's ouster, one way or another. I'm not the only person wishing this.

This one came out better

Apparently the Republicans in the Senate just confirmed this guy to a lifetime federal judgeship.

Am sitting on a shady bench in the Common since today is supposed to be the last day until Thursday it is comfortable to do.

We saw seals and played Aretha Franklin, whom my mother loved.

On Saturday 16 of us who were Mum’s friends and family toasted her, had a nice meal together and then helped scatter her ashes in Provincetown Harbor. It was a nice closure.

My mother died, very quickly, in March, but I made a variation of the brunch I’d been making for her most of my adult life today: homemade pecan rolls, fruit with cream and sparkling cider instead of her Asti Spumante. It was good.

Rhubarb pie (I make a tiny version) came out tasting and looking great.

If you think I’m exaggerating…

It took much maneuvering, ingenuity and time but me and the movers wrangled my late mother's loveseat through my narrow door and stairway. It looks right at home here!

This one came out a lot better. This time it's a combo (vegan) apple and pear ginger tarte tatin (I accidentally put the half pear I was saving in with the compost). I browned the ginger (and butter) first then added maple syrup, cardamom and the and apples and pears. A lower oven temp. also helped

After making a great Thanksgiving dinner I had terrible supermarket pie for dessert, so I made ginger pear tarte tatin this morning to make up for it.

Why do we have all these fucking glamour photos of Republican pieces of shit? Here's what that ass hat really looks like.

Birthday dinner.

The bus route was one long strip mall, but now I’m having a virgin hibiscus agua fresca with this charming view.

My only swim goggles snapped in 2 this AM, and I couldn't even temporarily Macgyver them, so after my swim (breast stroke and backstroke, baby!) I headed to the only store in town that I knew would have decent goggles (department stores ones break before you even use them) and found this sign.

Like an even uglier version of a flounder basically.

My post was flagged as “hateful” on Twitter. Can you guess why?

Ah, but the absolute best anyone has looked in a mohawk was Jennifer Balgobin (who is of South Asian descent) in "Repo Man". Sideshave isn't exactly the same but...

They don’t make anyone look younger. Instead they make some of the most beautiful women in the world look like Madame, the ventriloquist dummy.

This photo was taken 15 years ago (so she was in her mid-40s) if you're wondering if I'm exaggerating.

Bill The Ack-Man. This is what I think of whenever I see his name.

Nobody loves me or they would have told me about Jane Ward's "The Tragedy of Heterosexuality" (a queer view!) before this.
